Frameless Glass & Mirror Installation in Mississauga
Built By Glass installs custom frameless showers, glass railings, and mirrors across Mississauga — Port Credit lakefront homes, Lorne Park estates, Erin Mills new builds, and City Centre condos. Our crew. Our warranty.
Mississauga glass — every neighbourhood.
Port Credit's Victorian revival homes and century-era streetscapes sit alongside Lorne Park's lakefront estate properties — and the glass renovation expectations in both are high. Port Credit homeowners doing whole-home renovations often have non-standard bathroom geometries in older homes: walls that are not perfectly plumb, older tile surrounds, and alcoves configured for a different era. Our laser measuring system accounts for all of that precisely, so the glass fits on installation day regardless of how imperfect the substrate is.
Every Built By Glass installation is measured, fabricated, and installed to the same standard — regardless of city. No subcontractors. No drop-shipped kits. 5-year written workmanship guarantee on every install. Same-week measurement scheduling across the GTA.

Lorne Park estate properties bring a different scale: larger primary ensuites with steam configurations, multi-bathroom matching requirements, and staircase glass railings in two-storey custom builds. Mississauga's Building Division is known for relatively efficient permit turnaround compared to other GTA municipalities — a practical advantage when railing permits are part of your renovation timeline.
Erin Mills, Meadowvale, and Cooksville represent Mississauga's sprawling suburban middle — tract housing built through the 1970s to 1990s where the most common install is a direct framed-to-frameless conversion in a master ensuite. Streetsville's village character brings a mix of older homes with heritage sensibility and newer infill that mixes the two eras. We serve all of Mississauga with the same process: no subcontractors, Built By Glass standard on every install, written warranty.

Common questions from Mississauga customers.
Frameless glass showers in Mississauga start at $850 for a single fixed panel and about $1,100 for a door-and-return enclosure; custom mirrors from $25/sqft with no project minimum and glass railings carry a $1,400 project minimum. Final pricing depends on glass type, size, and hardware finish. Use our Build & Price tool for an instant range, or book a free in-home measure for an exact written quote.
From the final laser measure — taken after your tile is fully grouted — custom tempered glass takes 10 business days to fabricate, and installation is completed in a single visit, usually a few hours.
Frameless showers and mirrors do not require a permit. Exterior deck guards and stair railings usually do, under Ontario Building Code Part 9, issued by your local municipal building department — typically a 2 to 4 week approval. We confirm the requirement at your free measure and provide the product specification and OBC compliance documentation for your permit package.
Yes. Older Port Credit homes — particularly Victorian revival and 1920s–1940s stock — often have walls that are not plumb and alcoves that are not square. Our laser measuring system captures every angle and dimension precisely, and the glass is fabricated to match. We do not cut corners to make a non-standard space accept a standard panel. If a space is out of square, we measure it out of square and build it that way.
Mississauga Building Division is generally considered one of the more efficient permit offices in the GTA for residential work, which is useful when a railing permit is on the critical path of your renovation timeline. We supply OBC-compliant 10mm and 12mm tempered glass and provide engineering documentation for your permit application on request. Condo buildings near Square One may have additional building-specific requirements — confirm with your property management before starting.
We serve all of Mississauga — including Streetsville, Erin Mills, Meadowvale, and Clarkson in the west, Cooksville and Lakeview centrally, and Port Credit and Lorne Park in the south. No part of Mississauga carries a travel surcharge.
Mississauga is a single-tier municipality within Peel Region. The City of Mississauga's eDevelopment online portal handles building permit submissions efficiently for projects requiring permits — typically glass railings on raised decks or balconies under Ontario Building Code Section 9.8.8. For interior frameless shower installations, no permit applies. For lakefront property work along Lakeshore Road or in Port Credit, additional Conservation Halton review may apply where the property sits within a regulated shoreline area.
Mississauga's residential character varies sharply by neighbourhood. Lorne Park (executive estates) tends toward larger master ensuites, 12mm tempered glass on tall panels, and multi-room glass packages including stair railings and full-wall fitness mirrors. Streetsville's heritage detached stock is more renovation-driven with traditional shower configurations. Port Credit's lakefront condo corridor follows standard high-rise protocols — COI submission, elevator booking, after-hours scheduling around building noise bylaws.
